About Us

Hi! My name is Sabrina, and I'm a high school student currently studying in the U.S. I'm originally from Hong Kong, and my journey to creating Evergreen Connections began with a stroll in my neighbourhood park. Upon chatting with the gardener, whom I've known since my early childhood, I learned that since her husband passed away and her children moved abroad, she had been spending most of her time alone.  This conversation stayed with me because with her bright smile and infectious energy, no one would be able to guess the quiet loneliness that consumed her. As I began volunteering in a local hospital the next summer, I started to pick up on this feeling of loneliness with many of the patients I helped.
